FILM NIGHT

'Inside Out' Killanena/Flagmount

followed by panel discussion

In 2009 a group of young people from Lough Graney Youth Club began working with artist in residence, Hilary Dully, to create a film about their community. The result of this collaboration is a little gem, a gentle and poignant documentary about a parish on the cusp of change. The film meanders through a traditional farming community, exploring the joys, hardships, history and passions of its inhabitants, old, young and newly arrived.

The film will be followed by a panel discussion entitled 'The rural parish, and the role of community arts in changing times', with panelists Fr Harry Bohan (chairman of the Céifin Centre), Kathleen McNamara (coordinator Inside Out film project), Siobhan Mulcahy, (County Clare Arts Officer) and Eoin Canny (member of Lough Graney film crew)
