Fishbowl Youthgroup presents the best of up-coming talent from East Clare in an Acoustic night of entertainment. To include poetry readings, in a cafˇ style setting, the night will appeal to all ages.

YOUTH THEATRE

A newly created short play performed by young people from the area, on the theme of 'Seed Saving'. Directed by Pete Mullineaux, the play will an illuminating and thought provoking drama, which will be educational, uplifting and entertaining.

DEEP GREEN
An in depth talk about the ecological crisis and the call for personal Creative Action. Led by Brother Anthony (Glenstal Abbey) and other key speakers.

MUSICAL FEAST

A performance by local artists, musicians and gardeners who will entertain you with the musical preparation of a 5 course meal. A 'one off' gastronomic experience designed to bring the joy and fun of food right to the stomachs of the audience. Come prepared to play with your food, and hungry enough to enjoy the feast. POETRY EVENING

Hosted by well known East Clare Poets Arthur Watson and Ruth Marshall with music by talented singer-songwriter Tembre de Carteret inspired by the theme of 'Our Fragile Earth'. There will an 'open mike' session during the second half of the evening, with poets representing the Maple Leaf poetry group (Portumna).

COMEDY

Presenting Snatch Comedy from Cork: Damien Punch, Cathal Carrol, Sean McNally and Adrian Scanlan form a talented young group of comedians whose sketches and improvised, audience participatory style have won them deserved acclaim at Kilkenny Cat Laugh's Festival. Snatch have surprised and amazed crowds throughout the country and promise to offer something special to Mountshannon.

The Fake McCoys
Based in East Clare this up and coming band play an eclectic, lively and uplifting mixture of Irish and Scottish Traditional, Bluegrass, Klezmer and originals. Ali Roberts (fiddle), Sandy Robertson (multi-instrumental), Eoin Delaney (guitar/mandolin/vocals) and Marcus Hulme (double bass). Time to get up and dance!

EVENING SPECTACULAR AT THE HARBOUR

Come and enjoy the evening beauty of the shores of Lough Derg! After last years hugely successful Fireworks performance, this year we offer an exciting, vibrant multi-media event staring the widely acclaimed Lismorahaun Singers, internationally renowned Daghda Dance with the Love Spotters, Enable Ireland and local youth. Featuring work from Mountshannon N.S. and Scariff Youthreach, who are brought together to create a wonderful evening of music, voice, dance and a spectacular light show. This promises to be a fabulous family occasion.

PUPPET SHOW

The Wishing Tree
A new production from 'Dog and String Theatre'. Three stories woven together by a common theme; can wishes come true and what happens when they do? Azal the artist, Cinderella and the Old Woman in the Vinegar Bottle. Incorporating life-size puppets, shadow puppetry and animated objects made from recycled materials. 1hour. 4yrs and over.
